SCOOP! AND Title I - Improving The Academic Achievement Of The Disadvantaged

The purpose of this title is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic assessments

Title 1 Requirements	SCOOP! Features
Ensuring that high-quality academic assessments, accountability systems, teacher preparation and training, curriculum, and instructional materials are aligned with challenging State academic standards so that students, teachers, parents, and administrators can measure progress against common expectations for student academic achievement;	SCOOP! is aligned with the NETS for students as well as all states standards. The program is aligned with IDEA requirements and has been approved by CLRN
Meeting the educational needs of low-achieving children in our Nation's highest-poverty schools, limited English proficient children, migratory children, children with disabilities, Indian children, neglected or delinquent children, and young children in need of reading assistance;	The exemplar lesson plan can be integrated in different classes, depending on the teachers approach. The content is printable, for students to complete assignments, but the teacher still conducts the class, and will explain the different areas of the lesson plan according to the background of their students. The subjects covered in the lesson plans cover news worthy subjects and will touch every students and stimulate discussion, which is an appropriate climate for discovering the world.
Closing the achievement gap between high- and low-performing children, especially the achievement gaps between minority and non-minority students, and between disadvantaged children and their more advantaged peers;	Each lesson plan is neutral, allowing students to create their own opinions. All students will be challenged and will achieve high academic results. Group activities and discussion will help close the achievement gap, as all students will share their knowledge and participate in SCOOP! activities.

Since teacher can use this resource from home, they give students a better quality instructional time.
