LopArt DUO AND Title I - Improving The Academic Achievement Of The Disadvantaged

The purpose of this title is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

Ensuring that high-quality academic assessments, accountability systems, teacher preparation and training, curriculum, and instructional materials are aligned with challenging State academic standards so that students, teachers, parents, and administrators can measure progress against common expectations for student academic achievement; LopArt DUO is aligned with the NETS for students. The program also meets the TEKS requirements and is aligned with IDEA requirements.
Meeting the educational needs of low-achieving children in our Nation's highest-poverty schools, limited English proficient children, migratory children, children with disabilities, Indian children, neglected or delinquent children, and young children in need of reading assistance; LopArt DUO is an icon based software, and therefore can be used by all students, from every background, race, young or old. It can be used on any computers, old like new.
Closing the achievement gap between high- and low-performing children, especially the achievement gaps between minority and non-minority students, and between disadvantaged children and their more advantaged peers; Art unifies children, and the Duo functions allow two students to draw together on the same drawing via the Internet, closing the gab between all students.
Providing children an enriched and accelerated educational program, including the use of schoolwide programs or additional services that increase the amount and quality of instructional time; LopArt DUO can be used in every classroom to illustrate a Math problem, a Science process, it can be used in art classes, computer classes, or to illustrate a web site, cover an article in the school paper, illustrate a story, or special projects in Social Studies, Geography, history…
Affording parents substantial and meaningful opportunities to participate in the education of their children. LopArt DUO will give one free copy of the program to all the enrolled students, providing unlimited access to the web museum after school hours. Drawings can be printed and shared with parents.
Promoting schoolwide reform and ensuring the access of children to effective, scientifically based instructional strategies and challenging academic content; Art is a part of life. LopArt DUO offers an amazing tool for creativity, expression, communication, exchange between students, and self confident and self esteem, which are important values of a schoolwide reform.
