LopArt DUO AND the individuals with disabilities education act (IDEA)
IDEA provides regulatory guidance and financial assistance to states and schools districts in identifying and serving children with special education needs. The IDEA includes two fundamental requirements: that the child will receive a free appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment.
In terms of drawing software, LopArt DUO is the perfect alliance between simplicity of use and rich graphic execution.
The colors pallet is associated with a variety of duo-tones. Combined with the transparency tool and different stoke tips, these colors reproduce techniques and effects associated with traditional drawing and painting tools. You also have access to a range of textures, as well as the ability to create your own in the Personal Texture Creation Workshop.
LopArt DUO enables you to discover information and communication technologies by enabling you to harness your creativity.

LopArt DUO Features |
| IDEA ensure that children with disabilities, including children aged three through five, have access to a free appropriate public education to meet each child's unique needs and prepare him or her for further education, employment, and independent living. |
LopArt DUO offers special education students a technology-based option for drawing, painting, creating and publishing their artwork. Special needs accommodation features, include a complete icon based interface, with no words or menus. The zoom feature makes it easy for all students to work on details in artwork. Other tools, such as undo/redo, help to give free reign to creative ideas. |
| IDEA ensure to make progress toward rigorous college- and career-ready standards and highquality assessments that are valid and reliable for all students, including English language learners and students with disabilities. | Art helps with self-esteem, courage, strength. LopArt DUO promotes art, animation, communication, and publication. |
| Each school district must have Individual Education Plan (IEP), in effect for each child with a disability within its jurisdiction. | The drawings are automatically saved in the software portfolio, keeping track of each drawing. LopArt DUO gives access to the LopArt Virtual Museum, where students exhibit their artwork with just one click which makes it easy to work with the specific skills a student needs in response to an Individual Education Plan. |
| Funds can be used for the cost of special education and related services and supplementary aids and services provided in a regular class or other education-related setting to a child with a disability in accordance with the IEP of the child, even if one or more non-disabled children benefit from these services. | In the DUO function one can create artwork simultaneously with a partner anywhere in the world, on the same drawing board. The only requirement is to have LopArt DUO, and access to the Internet. It is a form of graphic chat that enables two people, who might not speak the same language, to communicate through drawing. |
