eduMedia-Science AND National Educational Technology Standards for Students

Students will use models and simulations to explore complex systems and issues. The simulations allow students to understand science concepts and will allow them to apply existing knowledge to generate new ideas, products or processes.
Communication and Collaboration Students use digital media and environments to communicate and work collaboratively, including at a distance, to support individual learning and contribute to the learning of others.	Using eduMedia-Science will have students communicate information and ideas effectively to multiple audiences using a variety of media and formats. eduMedia-Science simulations will help student to contribute to project teams produce original works or solve problems, as their understanding of science concepts will be much stronger. Students will learn to access the Internet, to download simulations, interact, collaborate and publish with peers a variety of digital environment and media.
Research and Information Fluency Students apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information.	Each simulations and interactive animations in eduMedia-Science will help students to process data and report results. The content will allow students to evaluate and select information sources and digital tools based on the appropriateness to specific tasks.
Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision Making Students use critical thinking skills to plan and conduct research, manage projects, solve problems, and make informed decisions using appropriate digital tools and resources. perspectives to explore alternative solutions.instructional time;	The simulations cover hard to understand science concept. They will help students to identify and define authentic problems and significant questions for investigation. Since students will understand new concepts, they will be able to collect and analyze data to identify solutions and make informed decisions which will help them achieving academic success. The simulations make it easy for students to understand the subjects and therefore will be able to plan and manage activities to develop a solution and complete a project.
Digital Citizenship Students understand human, cultural, and societal issues related to technology and practice legal and ethical behavior.	The simulations and animations make science easier to learn for students. eduMedia-Science use computers and Interactive white board and will help students to exhibit a positive attitude towards using technology that supports collaboration, learning and productivity. eduMedia-Science will encourage students to demonstrate personal responsibility and to exhibit leadership for digital citizenship, as the simulations are much easier to understand than a 2D drawing.
Technology Operations and Concepts Students demonstrate a sound understanding of technology concepts, systems, and operations.	eduMedia will stimulate students to understand and use technology system. The manipulation of the simulations and interactive animations will make students comfortable to select and use applications effectively and productively. They will feel at ease to transfer current knowledge to learning of new technologies as their interaction with the program will be a great asset in day-to-day lives.
